I'm trying to get caught up on blogging all weddings from 2013, and am nearing the end of July with Melanie and Steeles celebration. Melanie and Steele chose the historic and picturesque Haig Brown House for their Vancouver Island wedding. The sun was glorious (and a little hot) the grounds were perfect. There was love in the air and the entire wedding was just oozing joy.
Looking forward to bringing you more, but for now... sweet Mel and Steele.

It's not just that she is drop dead gorgeous thats the 'thing' about her. Or that her husband is totally handsome and ridiculously entertaining. It's more that she is radiant. Like, right from the core. It's like her soul actually is shiny and the camera can't help but catch a bit of her light. I could photograph Jacquie for days. She truly is making being pregnant look easy, and we all know that it's miles from that. They don't currently live on Vancouver Island but I love that I got to spend a bit of time with them over their holidays here for our maternity session.
If she looks familiar you may recall their wedding featured HERE. And Abby Larson from Style Me Pretty loved her so much she pinned one of her veil photos that has been repined over 1200 times on Pinterest. So awesome. Pins and features aside Jacquie and Pat are wonderful, and I am deeply honoured that they have become cherished clients and our time together is spent laughing hysterically and being swept away in the moment. Their maternity session had no shortage of absolutely remarkable light and was just an incredible way for me to wrap up my 2013. I love you guys. What an amazing life this is.
2013 was a really remarkable year.
Tonight, one photo from each wedding I photographed all over Vancouver island this past summer. My favourite from each.
What an amazing journey.
The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
So grateful.
2013 was truly a remarkable year. A brand new website is a perfect way to pull it all together and bring my photography into 2014.
Thank you Tara for helping my website vision become a reality. Everything you can imagine is real. ox
