Love in the barn

We knew we'd likely get some bad weather. We needed somewhere awesome and somewhat covered.... Enter Susan's barn. Balance Equestrian Center. This session would not have been possible without the amazing ability to shoot the session here. So, THANK YOU Susan! I loved it here from the first moment I stepped into the barn. Horses, hay, huge loft area. Pretty much amazing. Enter... Lindsey and Dennis. Amazing couple. Lindsey came armed with a few clothing choices (which I LOVE) especially for maternity! We roamed, laughed and made fun of Dennis! It was awesome. You look radiant Lindsey and I can't wait to meet your new addition soon!

Choose awesome.

Dear Maisie, In your life, it is highly likely that people will try and tell you that things are boring, that life won't work out, that black friday isn't fun and that parking lots are ugly. They might tell you that you can't have fun, that you won't have fun and that you will have a miserable time. You won't... unless you want to. Today, your dad pointed something out to me in his quiet loving way. "Look at her, having the time of her life in a parking lot." You don't know that people don't generally have the best time of their life in a parking lot. You don't know any different. You only know that you want awesome and fun. So... fun it was.

Please always remember that you always have the potential for awesome. Every single moment of each and every day. You carry your own light within you. There can be darkness all around you, and you can be the only light. You just choose to shine girlfriend, and all will be well. Love you, mom. ox (Many thanks to Auntie Thelma for helping us create some cherished family images tonight. xoxo)

Divine Weather Intervention

It was pouring. They were only here for one day. It was the only time we could do it.They live in Vancouver. It was not only pouring, but windy and just plain crazy weather. We cancelled. I was sad, it was Danielle's birthday present and it was going to have to be postponed until next year. I was driving home and the the sun burst out of the clouds and there were suddenly blue skies for miles around. I called her back. "Can you come now?" They did and I'm so happy they did. Thank you guys for inviting me into your loving little world. I am so honored. Always.
