You can't possibly not fall hilariously in love with these wildly spirited, song singing, arm waving, bird chasing girls! These girls are blessed with being surrounded by inspired creative creatures and you can clearly see that it has rubbed off on them! Imagination is one of the most spectacular gifts of childhood, and when you have grown ups around that encourage imagination and art and life and laughter... it clearly shines. Especially through the lens of a camera.
Have a look at some of my favorites from our fun filled session.

Meet the oldest of these three gals, Rhys. Fun loving, full of imagination and magic.

Meet Avery. The highly spirited, wild child of the bunch.

Meet Maryn. Seriously sweet, always smiley and ready to cuddle.

Yes, I realize her eyes are closed, but I just think it adds to her absolute sweetness. A fleeting moment. A blink.

Grammie came along to help wrangle the small people, and of course I forced her into a photo!
I'll leave you with this image of each little creature, doing their own thing.
The sun is shining... thats my cue to get outside. Have a fabulous weekend everybody!
Smile at a stranger, pay for someone's coffee unexpectedly, sing for no reason, create a craft with a child, dance in the shower and walk your dog.
Unexpected Sunshine
At times, when you least expect it... the sun will surprise you on the west coast, and shine. Out of nowhere, out of what seems like a never ending sea of dark clouds, the sun is hiding somewhere. Occasionally it will tease you with a ray here or there, and sometimes, if you're really lucky... it will just up and burst through the clouds. Seemingly reminding you that it was there all along.
Boys will surprise you too. They are like the sun. Their smiles can be just as elusive, their moments in front of the camera are certainly as fleeting as the west coast sunshine. And every bit as beautiful. Oh, Matthew and Liam, you gave me a run for my money... but I caught you still.

Tara and Steve
How amazing it was, that the rain stopped for our session last Friday.
Lately it appears that the majority of my clients have had to do a lot more re-scheduling than shooting due to adverse weather conditions. But I promise, when all of the elements align, the sessions, will be perfect. Sometimes it takes a few times to get it all together, but it is always worth the wait. Promise.
Tara and Steve, you are wonderful.

New Testimonials
A fellow photographer emailed me yesterday to ask me a few questions about my business, my clients and how I go about my everyday bookings, and essentially how I got to be where I am today. Answering her, I was struck by how much my business has grown and flourished in the past three years. Humbled, and as always grateful. One of the questions she asked was...
When do you feel most successful as a photographer?
My instant reaction and immediate response was "When my clients see their images, and cry." Thats how I measure success. Honestly. I love nothing more, than when those who have chosen me to capture their treasured memories for them, are speechless, are happy, are thrilled. That means more to me than anything. So in thinking about it, I realized I may need to share with you some of the heartbreakingly beautiful testimonials from a few of my 2009 wedding clients. I am so honored they chose me to photograph their weddings, and so terribly happy that they love their time with me, and their images. Wanna see what they had to say?
