There's nothing perfect about us. These photos might be misleading to you. But, not to me. I know us. We have moments where we just flat out don't like each other. Where Maisie is hysterically yelling "I'M NOT TIRED" in the back yard as she's tripping all over herself "tired". Where Elliot has giant blowouts up to his armpits. Where I'm yelling at Frank for barking at everything. Where our upstairs bathroom plumbing smells seriously not right. We have moments when Bryce and I choose not to talk to each other to avoid a blow out of our own. We have moments where we let Maisie watch too many movies or play on the iPad for too long because we both need to get a bit of work done. But, we have moments of big love. I choose to see the beauty in everything, the big love. Every. Single. Thing. So, my photos are no different. This is what I choose to focus on. This is how we feel to me. This is why we all will continue to celebrate and cherish us, as a family. Because we see the good light in each other. And, I just thought that you should know. xo
A year later...
It's almost been a year since I was preparing to fly out to Cody and Karly's amazing Drumheller wedding. I was thinking about the wedding, their photos (which all still haven't been blogged) INSANE!
I can't actually handle all of the work that I have that hasn't been shared. Part of the fun for me is being able to share all of these images that I love, with you! So, here is Karly, Cody and their gorgeous baby boy Cash (who looks SO much older now). In any case, it is about time I shared something other than photos of my babies!
Loved everything about our session.
Hope you do too. ox
And a little bit of snow
A cool, crisp Campbell River afternoon led us to these family images nearing the end of 2011.
Today, felt like just the right day to share them.
This week is looking better than last for me, hopefully for you as well!
I have so much to share.

Horseshoes and moments of sunshine
I'm not sure how to say this without jinxing myself, but... rain drops that turn into a perfect hour long photo shoot... are my favorites. Always.
Thank you Laura for sharing your beautiful family with me!
So in love with the image of the girls together. I imagine them 40 years from now, looking at that photo of themselves, laughing... carefree... children. And smiling.
It's images like these that give me a deep sense of satisfaction, love and fuel me to create more, always.
Monday dose of Love
Such beautiful people, such amazing children.... create wonderful images!
I've got a LOT of images to share with you this week... so I'll keep the writing... short and sweet!
There is nothing in the world, I would rather have as a profession than, spending my time, capturing love in photographs. Nothing.
This was the shoot that inspired the "Love is Art" post last week.
