And a little bit of snow

Monday, January 16th, 2012

A cool, crisp Campbell River afternoon led us to these family images nearing the end of 2011.
Today, felt like just the right day to share them.
This week is looking better than last for me, hopefully for you as well!
I have so much to share.

Giving Thanks

Saturday, October 8th, 2011

Today, and everyday I am grateful for many things.
I thought I’d celebrate this thanksgiving weekend with a session from a few weeks ago, that I loved even before I shot.
I love this family. (ps. how adorable is Lucia! Melt my heart!!!)
Thank you Salvador’s for venturing all the way from your cozy life in Vancouver to share some moments, and create a whole collection of favorites with me.

May you all have countless blessings, that come in many forms and disguises and may you be open to accepting them all. May this weekend be full of fall hibernation, with wood stoves and treasures and sweaters and stories. May you see fall colors everywhere and smell incredible food cooking in your home. May you be full, filled right up to the top. May you appreciate, soak it in, and enjoy it all.

Happy Thanksgiving Friends.

Theresa and Nathan

You would love them if you met them.
They ooze sweetness, honesty and love.
She was overwhelmed with emotions… “I’m not a crier” she said. The sun was shining, the families were glowing with happiness and the venue… perfect. Time was tight nearing the end of our time together and I asked Nathan “boats or beach”. “Boats” he said without hesitation “I’m a prairie boy… boats”.
So down to the marina we went.
Such a beautiful couple. Such a perfect day.
I am honored, always.

The Gordon family {aka Gordashians}

I’ve always been an admirer of beauty. Of great beauty. Of beautiful things. But, most importantly beautiful hearts.
You may see these photos and think. “Ugh… look at them. They are all perfect. Beautiful. I hate beautiful people. They are probably mean to waitresses.” You’d be totally wrong. They are wonderful. Gentle. Lovely. You’d want to be friends with them instantly. I first met Dorian and Corey 3 years ago, while photographing their beautiful Tofino wedding. I’ve loved getting to know them over the years, and am always honored to be chosen to document and capture more amazing moments in their lives.
Thank you for choosing me, for trusting me with your family images, your moments and your lives. I am so honored. Always.
Wishing you all of the joys this life can offer.

We headed to the studio to capture a bit of little Arianna’s sweet face, and baby blues.

On Fortune

If you don’t see yourself as fortunate. I’d bet money on it that you were wrong.
Swim in your own moments of pure bliss. Swallow them up, soak them in. Cherish your people, and your relationships.
Bask in the sunshine when it does shine, and marvel at it all.
This is your life.
Celebrate frequently. In any way possible.

I’m a lucky auntie. (and yes, thats my Maisie sneaking in for a few photos with her little friend)
