Fosters toes
Another entirely new one begins.

Today marks the end and last day of my 2009 cans for comments campaign. Thank you so much for your thoughtful, heartfelt and touching comments. For taking time out of your busy lives to stop by my blog and share in my journeys with me. You don’t have to come here. You don’t have to read these words. But you are. I am grateful. Always.

I loved so many of Kelsey and Steve’s maternity images below are a few from their session a month ago…

I can barely believe, still… after photographing so many maternity/newborn sessions… the absolute miracle that you can be carrying a baby inside of you one day, and the next… they are in the world. It just absolutely blows my mind. I must have burst into tears at least five times during our newborn session with little baby Foster. The innocence, the perfection is something so precious it simply takes my breath away.

Thank you for choosing me to share this time in your lives with. What a beautiful family.

So.. for the rest of the day… comment away. Tomorrow I will tally up all the comments and announce the end result! So awesome. Remember to comment, to donate, to share to give to be better than you were yesterday. Why not.

Robyn and Lukas
This was one of those wedding, that I knew… without a doubt would be perfect.

Lukas is the most organized self proclaimed groom-zilla I’ve ever encountered. Definitely not in a negative way, but in a hilarious, obsessive list writing, detail focused sort of way. Note: matching his tie to his baby girls dress. Not only adorable, but rather endearing don’t you think? In any case, their wedding was sunny, and bright, and full of love, and smiles, and laughter. The whole experience was exactly as I had suspected, perfect.

Robyn and Lukas chose to have their photos with their wedding party and their ‘not so formal’ portraits done pre ceremony, which I really love. I think it allows everyone to look fresh and flawless for the photos, and then continue on their wedding day to pay all of their attention to their ceremony, their guests and their reception. I’m pretty sure the guests appreciate it too!

In any case, here are the fabulous Robyn, Lukas and their show stopping-ly (fully aware that is not a word, but it’s my blog I’ll do as I like) adorable little girl Adelyn. Congratulations you guys!!! The pleasure was truly all mine!!!

Summer is HERE!

Thursday, June 4th, 2009

When adorable babies go roaming about the beach in nothing but a sandy bottom… summer has arrived. This is quite a shock to me, as this means, that all of a sudden I’m wildly busy! But… I could have worse problems! Here is Patrick, Lindsay and Colbie. How I loved this sunny family session.
Campbell River, beautiful? I think so.

And there may have been a few tears at the end… however… beautiful ones.

Alana and Justin

Alana and Justin… what can I say? Their day was perfect. The weather was fabulous. The bride, calm and stunning. The groom handsome and collected. The parents, proud. The guests had come from as far as Taiwan and that tells you a lot about the kind of people Alana and Justin are. A beautiful ceremony, gorgeous couple… It truly was a pleasure to photograph this wedding!
Alana and Justin… you two were absolutely wonderful to work with, you are both such warm, caring, incredible people, and I couldn’t imagine a better outcome to the day!
Congrats!
Most of Justin’s life has revolved around ball parks, so, where more suited to take some photos than Nunn’s Creek Park here in Campbell River.
