Best of 2009: Weddings

Of course, there is no way I could choose only twelve images from my 2009 wedding season. So, here are twenty of my very favorites. But the problem is, there are so many more. Maybe another post another time full of more.. but, for now.. Here are twenty of my favorites.
It was an amazing year, full of truly beautiful people. Not only typically beautiful, but people with the most beautiful hearts, amazing personalities, oozing with creativity, love and soul. Thank you all for such an incredible year.
On a cans for comments note….
So the wonderful Tara Lewis steps up to match my donations, and then… I receive this comment from a big heart named Simone.
“I was so inspired by Tara’s generosity as well, that my family and I will also be matching your final contribution to the food bank. It is such an important lesson to share with our children. The true giving spirit. Thank you Erin and Tara for the inspiration. As always Erin, your work is impeccable.”
Now you tell me that people aren’t wonderful! Be sure to do something awesome this year, something extraordinarily kind or giving. If you already do, may the world shower your generous heart with love. If you don’t normally get into giving… Be wild! Be awesome! Share the love! Do something kind! Give money, if you can, if you can’t, donate your time your energy and your spirit. It will make you better. Happy Monday everyone!
****Remember until December 10th 2009, your comments= cans of food being donated to our local food bank… so be sure to leave a comment! Its an awesome way to give a little blog love and in return, I’ll give a little food bank love. A wonderful thing!****

Five cute pairs of feet, the stunning bride on the tree (all time favorite I think), the yawn-er, smooching-gumboots, and of course my friends Katie + Kyle. From your favorites, Erin, those are my favorites!

ps if that bride-on-the-tree doesn’t have that photo on canvas in 8 by 10 FEET in her house… she needs to do that now. If she doesn’t get on that, maybe I’ll get you to change the hair colour, pretend it’s me, and hang it on my wall!

December 9th, 2009 at 8:15 am
The 4th pic. The way you can take a dreary grey and create an image that will stand out in everyone’s mind is just amazing.

As someone lucky enough to get you for that special day. Looking at the collection of photos. In the chaos of the day you see what many of us miss. So wrapped up in the does my shoes fit. Is the veil on correct. You see those imperfects of a day as a wonderful photograph yet to be taken. Those moments of time that we truly treasure for all time. Some of my favorite pictures are not the ones of us being so perfect but of the ones showing the imperfectins in the day. The ones that I can look at and go OMG! I can’t believe she caught that.
You truly have a gift and like many have said are in the right profession. Through out the swirling chaos of an amazing day you are this gently smile to go breathe.

December 10th, 2009 at 10:58 am
I honestly can’t pick a favorite!!!! The one of the bride in the limo is amazing, but seriously… they all are!!! Gonna have to watch you shoot one day
December 11th, 2009 at 4:14 am
not sure how you could possibly decide on 20! love the feet pics, gumboots, yawner and of course all the beach pics especially the couple with the poofy wedding dress oh and bride on the tree…i think thats all of themhahaha
December 11th, 2009 at 4:26 am
The black and white pic with the stark branches and wedding couple is so poetic like the branches are bare but will be blooming all over with with new beginnings. I must say the groom in the red car is devilish and divine the yawning little girl so characteristic of children who could hardly understand what all the fuss is about, even though she was probably just tired from all of the excitement. Love the gumboots for sure and the sober loving look in one of the brides gazes. Each one is precious in it’s own way. Keep blessing us with your inspiration.

Me thinks you should close 2009 off with a Top 100 of weddings…ok, maybe Top 50?! : )
